More about the event:

SIETAR BC hosted the opening night of the week-long exhibit at a donated space in Chinatown, which not only introduced the photographers and their photos, but also welcomed four guest speakers: Daniel Tseghay, Josiane Anthony, Yashar Nijati and Farooq Al-Sajee, who told their stories of coming to Canada and highlighted the difficulties and obstacles facing refugees both at home and abroad. Farooq also performed, showcasing his incredible musicianship on the oud. The evening was very well attended with over 60 guests on opening night and over 270 people throughout the week.

Address: The Playground, 434 Columbia Street in Chinatown (between Pender and Hastings)
